6. Procedures/Methods-
|
|
A. Introduction-
1.Students will be shown cards with the new words on them and told
the word using correct pronunciation.
2.Students will be told and shown the correct definition of each word
.
3.Students will be given sentences with each word used correctly. |

B. Development-
1.Students will again be shown the word cards and asked to repeat
the correct pronunciation with the teacher and individually until
the skill is firm.
2.Students will then be told the definition again and will be asked
to write the definition into their notebooks..
3.The teacher will then again use the words correctly in sentences. |

C. Practice-
1.The teacher will give the students sentences using the voc. words
and ask the students to decide whether the words were used correctly
or not, if not ask the students to create sentences of their own using
the word correctly.
2.Have the students all create (write) their own sentences and let
them share theirs with the class..correct as needed...

D. Independent Practice-
1.Students will do a worksheet or an interactive exercise each day
of the 5 day reading cycle to help retain and firm the knowledge of
the vocabulary words.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

2.Individual help from assistant as needed. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.a quiz will be give after day 3 to identify further problems and
remediation as needed will be applied.
