writing

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1. Ask students if they have ever followed a instruction to do something
2. Introduce and read the pizza book that provides step by step instruction
on how to make a pizza. |

B. Development-
1. I will model on the chart how to make an English muffin pizza
procedure.
2. We will review the key words: first, then, next and finally.
3. I will model how to draw the illustrations for the procedure.

|
C. Practice-
1. we will read over the procedure several times before doing the
individual assignment.
2. We will practice saying the key words.
|
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
1. Students will be given their own templates on how to make an
English muffin pizza.
2. They will add illustrations to the template.
3. They will also add the key words: first, then, next and finally
to their templates.
4. After they have completed the template the students will have a
chance to create their own English muffin pizza. |

1. I will be circulating around in order to assess students capacity
for comprehension on an on-going basis.

new writing concept.
