6. Procedures/Methods-
|

A. Introduction-
Today we will be writing meaningful sentences. Raise your hand and
tell me what you think "meaningful sentences" are. (Listen to responses)
Sentences that are detailed are meaningful sentences. They contain
not just a "who" and a "what" but also "where", "when",
"why/how". |

B. Development-
1. Write a few simple sentences on the board.
2. Call on students to provide sentence expanders.
3. Write the meaningful sentence on the board. |

1. Pair/group students together to write a simple sentence for the
class.
2. Have students add expanders to simple sentence.
3. Write out new sentence. |
