1. Topic-
Adding and Subtracting Multiple Number Digits

2. Content-

3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
Students will be able to add and Subtract numbers when there are more then one digit in the equation involve.

4. Objectives-
1. Students will learn on first how to add multiple digits numbers in order too make more complex math look easy
2. After doing adding will include the rules when you are subtracting one example is the carry over or "borrow" a number and in order to subtracting a lower number from a higher one.
3. After the student figure out and know the material they will try a few trial runs mix with both adding and subtracting.

5. Materials and Aids-
over head projector
paper
pen
marker
whiteboard

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. start off by making an introduction of the material and what they are expected to know.
2. Tell them that they will also learn about subtraction and how will they subtract if the number digit on the top is lower then the one of the bottom digit.
3. After giving the introduction of the lesson they will try do too one or two problems on their own.

B. Development-

1. They will first add these numbers
43
+16

2. Then explain first we need to add 3 and 6 first. After we are done then we will add 4 and one to get the results.

3. Later will try to add

59
+67

4. Explain that if we add two numbers that will equal any number higher then 10 we need to carry over the left digit to the other problem. Then we add the left side digit and plus one because of our early Carry over.

C. Practice-

1. 3892
+ 1567

2. 34
-17

D. Independent Practice-

One method that I try is that the student make up their own math problem and give it to their partner in order to solve them. Tell them that at first have to be 2 digit problem then 3 for adding.
Subtracting give them a problem by writing a math problem on the board.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

If the student haven't been able to figure out on how to solve the math problem try to explaining it to them one on one and for them to follow along when they are doing math with you. After one or two problem give them one more and this time they will do it on their own. Pay attention on which part is where they make the mistake.

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Give out the answer after giving them 30 seconds to solve a problem. If they got it right okay, if the student got it wrong explain their method and correct on the part they got the mistake.
2. students will be able to find out how to do their multiple digit math problems. and explain that if you do a adding problem to check if its correct subtract the answer with one of the other digits; vice versa on subtracting.
3.

G. Closure-

Students are expected that they will be able to now add and subtracting multiple digits numbers.
They will now start on their worksheets and do everything on one side for classwork while the back side for homework.

8. Teacher Reflection-
They are expected to know adding and subtracting multiple digits numbers and to do one side of their worksheet. The other side will be assign for homework.
