Homemade Flashcards using index cards.
1 practice worksheet with reducing fractions in chart form.
1 quiz of finding the missing number to find the equivalent fractions. |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
|
A. Introduction-
1. Remind students of what they have learned so far and indicate
today is a review and short quiz day.
2. Show examples on the board of how to reduce fractions. |

B. Development-
1. Give examples of equivalent fractions on the board.
2. Discuss how equivalent fractions can help in everyday situations.
Review math vocabulary as it relates to fractions. |

C. Practice-
1.Practice with the board together examples of equivalent fractions.
2. Review reducing fractions as the opposite of equivalent fractions
by dividing concepts. |

D. Independent Practice-
| Students will work on their equivalent fraction worksheet in chart
form while I check for understanding and provide help if need be.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Provide one on one assistance as needed.
2. Play "go fish" for equivalent fractions for them to gain confidence
and motivation. |

1.Check for any additional questions about reducing or finding the
