6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
At the beginning of the class the teacher will explain to the children
that they will be learning all about numbers and how to count them
and put them in order.
|
|
|
B. Development-
The teacher will set up different activities for the children to
do, for example she will put counting pebbles in science center for
the children to practice counting, she can also place items to count
and measure in dramatic play for the children to count and sort.

|
|
C. Practice-
1.Teacher will provide number coloring sheets
2.Teacher will use flash cards for number identification
3.Teacher will provide counting materials |

D. Independent Practice-
1.Teacher will allow the children to come up with their own counting
activities.
2.Teacher will assign a task for the children to complete

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Teacher will gather materials and assistant will help execute the
plan to teach number recognition. |

F. Checking for understanding-
The teacher will do an assessment in the classroom and also ask
for parents to observe the child at home to see if they understand
the counting concept.

G. Closure-
At the end of the week the teacher will have a small group activity
and discussion about what they learned about number counting from
1 through 10. |

7. Evaluation-
|
The teacher will decide if the activities in fact helped the children
learn number order and recognition.
