6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1.As a review of previous assignment, students will respond to 4
questions concerning area of trapezoids and irregular figures posted
on Evernote
2. Using a large pizza pan students will predict how far the shape
will travel in order to make one full revolution?

B. Development-
1. Use a string to compare distance to diameter of the shape to
discover the distance is a little more than 3 times the diameter
2. Discuss circumference formula of circle
3. Introduce area formula for circles |

C. Practice-
1. Students will use Ipod to Winn possible geometry tutor application
to review process and work examples.
2. Students will work as a class using individual white boards solving
area & circumference and problems

D. Independent Practice-
1. Students will begin assignment on page 419-423 in text.
