2. Content-
The key goal is to tell how many shapes you have and how many corners are on the shapes.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.determine how many shapes you have
2.tell which shapes have corners
3.tell how many shapes don't have corners.
 
4. Objectives-
1.teach the children all about different shapes
2.help realize that even though things may look alike their shape is different
3.teach the children how to tell one shape from another
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Paper, circles, triangles, rectangles, squares, scissors, glue stick
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.show the children the different shapes
2.describe how to tell the difference in the shapes
3.point out how to find the points on the shapes
 

B. Development-

1.show the children on the board or table how to separate the shapes
2.show the children the name of each shape
3.tell the children which shapes has points, which ones are circular, etc.
 

C. Practice-

1.for the children that need assistance I will show them one on one what to do.
2.I will walk around the room to see how well they can follow directions
3.repeat the steps again if some of the children still don't understand
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.observe eye and hand coordination
2.watch and see who can follow directions
3.see how well they comprehend instructions
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.make the instructions understandable for all children
2.for those who don't catch on as well explain it to them differently
3.for the ones who have a learning problem go beyond to help them do the best they can without making them feel bad
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.make sure that all the children have a clear understanding
2.ask the children if they have any questions
3.ask the children did they enjoy the exercises
 

G. Closure-

1.make sure all the materials are put up
2.make sure the children take their papers home and tell their parents what they learned
