1. Explain what mass is and how it is different from weight
2.Model how to to use a balance scale with chosen items
3. Explain that it is best to start with the highest measurement and
then adjust to smaller weights |

C. Practice-
1. As a whole class call on students to measure various objects
using the balance scale
2.Repeat until the skill is mastered
3. Call students to the carpet explain the next part of the lesson
with the class using the SmartBoard |
