A. Introduction-

1.model several problems
2.explain how related addition and multiplication are related
 

C. Practice-

1.Complete problems on white boards
2.Have students share and explain their problems
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.students complete 5 problems from textbook
2.go over problems together
3.discuss any problems that did not work for students and work together to find solution
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.use manipulative items for students that need hands on experience
2.assign high level problems for students that demonstrate strong understanding
3.one on one instruction for students as needed
