3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Students will be able to calculate a GPA
2.Students will learn graduation requirements and of the CSU and UC minimum entrance requirements
3.Students will learn of the course registration process for this school year
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students should calculate their own GPA
2.Students should be able to see if they qualify graduation and for either CSU or UC minimum entrance standards
3. Students will learn to read the Curriculum Guide and learn to into Aeries and select their course selections for the next school year
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Prezi, White board, iPads, Aeries Log-in info
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.The counselors will introduce themselves and other counselors not present
2.The discussion will begin about choices and informed decisions
 

B. Development-

1.The students will see how to calculate a GPA
2. With that knowledge they will see where they are with courses taken and GPA earned to compare to the learned knowledge of graduation requirements and minimum college entrance requirements
 

C. Practice-

1. Students will calculate their own GPA
2. Students will find a prerequisite as written in curriculum guide
3. students will log into Aeries to see where to go to add course registration
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Students will begin to evaluate their status for graduation and minimum entrance requirements for the CSU and UC system
2. Students will begin to select courses from the Curriculum Guide
3.Students will begin adding the chosen courses into Aeries
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Counselors will be available for individual questions
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Students must demonstrate they know how to add a class into Aeries
2. Students will have an individual meeting with their counselor - schedule to be announced
 

G. Closure-

1.Students are given the return meeting schedule
