2. Students will explore new technologies (including Photo Story 3)
3. Students will learn how to incorporate and choose music for an effective presentation.
 
4. Objectives-
1. Incorporate personal pictures and music to create a personal story.
2. Utilize and identify different tools to enhance their presentation
3. Present their creation to demonstrate their abilities to create a powerful presentation.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Personal photos, computer, scanner (if photos are not online), Photostory 3, selected music.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Teacher prompts students to think about the past in presentation technologies.
2. discuss pro's and con's of chalk board, power point presentations, and photostory 3.
3. Introduce students to the idea presenting their own personal story using photostory 3.
 

B. Development-

1. Teacher demonstrates her own photostory 3 personal story.
2. Teacher will express the importance of creativity using music and images
3. Brief explanation of how to use photostory 3 and how to incorporate music and images appropriately.
 

C. Practice-

1. Begin exploring software.
2. Begin considering photos and music
3. Tinker with creative tools to enhance overall presentation.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Brainstorm first (family trip, life changing event, etc.)
2. Explore and become familiar with photostory3
3. Get teacher approval regarding music and images
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Alternative Input Devices
2. artificial intelligence (basically to take the lesson home for those who could use the extra time)
3. ESOL: they can incorporate their language into their presentation.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Give presentation to class.
2. Class discussion of reflection of software
 

G. Closure-

1.Now that you know how to use photostory 3, you can create more powerful presentations in all assets of schooling.
