Tempo is the speed of music. It's a steady constant pulse, like
a clock ticking. Tempo can be slow or fast or in-between, and it can
change during a song. Tempo influences how music sounds and feels.

1.students should be able to listen and respond to musical content
of pictures and sound collages by reacting verbally or using visual
arts/drama/movement
2.Use ideas from sound collage listened to as bases for their own
composition

4. Objectives-
|
1.Students should be able to define tempo in at least one sentence
after introductory activity
2.Students will be ask to listen to the sound they hear in their environment.
Students and teacher will create a sound collage and perform it after
class discussion
3.students will be place in group where they will be ask to create
a sound collage on their own in their groups with sound heard in the
environment. E.g. Birds charming
4. Students will be ask to perform their collage they have create.

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1.Students will be asked to watch a video and that they should be
attentive because they will be questioned afterwards. After the video
is finish the teacher will have a discussion with students to see
if they understand the video misconception will be clarified. Students
will get one minute to write down the definition of tempo in their
book
2.Students will then be asked to listen to a song and tell if they
can pick up where tempo is evident in the piece. After which the teacher
will build a sound collage with students and perform it to give students
a better understand of what really is tempo.
3. Students will be place in groups where they will be ask to compose
a sound collage and to present. Students will be given five minutes
to do do. |

B. Checking for understanding-
Students will be create a piece whether song or poem with the use
of tempo
|

C. Closure-
A power point will be shown to student for recap on tempo.
