2. Content-
|
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of psychological and sociological
concepts and principles. Students will utilize these strategies to
learn and perform physical activities. |

3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
|
1.Using prior knowledge of the game of soccer, apply basic skills
(dribbling, passing, trapping, and shooting) to game of futsal.
2.Practice social interaction with paired warm-up
3.Take self-responsibility and determine group dynamics within the
team. |

|
4. Objectives-
|
1.Participate productively in group physical activities.
2.Evaluate individual responsibility in group efforts.
3.Identify and define the role of each participant in a cooperative
physical activity.
4.Identify and agree on a common goal when participating in a cooperative
physical activity. |

5. Materials and Aids-
|
Gym or small field, cones, soccer or volleyballs, clipboard, round-robin
tourney score sheet. |
|
|
6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1.The teacher will take roll and students will pair off and perform
warm-up exercises (meet me in the middle) to half court.
2.Students will work on increasing heart rate and warm up muscles
to avoid injuries during futsal tournament. |

|
B. Development-
1.Teacher will explain the game of futsal.
2.Teacher will review ball handling skills and have peer tutors demonstrate
key techniques.
3.Teacher will group students into 5-man teams and go over rules specific
to the game of futsal. |
|
|
C. Practice-
1.Students will play in teams of five, and play three 7-minute games
(round-robin tournament style).
2.Teacher will facilitate team match ups, playing time, and rover
playing fields. |
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
|
E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Students with disabilities and low stamina will be allowed to
play defender positions during games. Students with injuries/unable
to participate will help with judging and score keeping. |
|
|
F. Checking for understanding-
1.Students will be asked to reflect on: (5.2)How they were individually
responsible for their team's success.
2.(5.4)How conflicts, if any, were resolved.
3.(5.3)What was their role in the group (defender, score keeper, captain,
etc.) |

G. Closure-
1.Review game of futsal (i.e., derivative, do's & don'ts, field
of play, equipment...)
2.Supervise cool down - equipment clean up.
3.Students will be excused to change for their next class. |

7. Evaluation-
|
1.Teacher will evaluate students participation and productivity
during warm-up, round-robin tourney and cool-down.
2.+/- will reflect students efforts to practice skills, play cooperatively
and citizenship. |
