Over hand serve, under hand serve, side arm serve, top spin back spin and knuckle serve
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Execute an over hand serve
2.execute an under hand serve
3.Execute serves with different spins or no spin(knuckle)
 
4. Objectives-
Students will be able to execute a volleyball serve on the court during a game play situation 100% of the time.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
15 volleyballs, 4 volleyball courts
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

Today we will being work on our volleyball unit. We will begin with one of the most important skills to have,the serve. During the course of the lesson you will taught the different kinds of serves and when to use them.

 

B. Development-

1.Show students the over hand serve and the teaching cues needed to perform the skill
2.Show students the under hand serve and the teaching cues needed to perform the skill
3.Show students the different spins put on the ball during the serve and the teaching cues needed to perform the skill
 

C. Practice-

Students will pair up and serve the ball back and forth across the net to each other. Working on distance, power, accuracy and technique.
 

Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

Students can move forward from the serving line so that the can get the serve over the net. Also the nets can be lowered
