Free weights(barbells, dumbbells,etc.)Machine weights,plyometric

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
1.demonstrate proper stretching techniques
2.demonstrate safe and proper lifting methods
3.demonstrate proper spotting technique |

B. Development-
1.use video to show proper technique as it pertains to stretching,
spotting,and lifting
2.demonstrate proper techniques live |

C. Practice-
1.Mon.and Thur. students will execute lower body lifts
2.Tue. and Fri. students will execute upper body lifts
3.Wed. students will execute plyometric workouts |

D. Independent Practice-
1.students execute lifts in small groups with students of similar
strengths
2.students will stretch the large and small muscle groups in preparation
for lifting |

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Students will work in groups of similar strengths
2.more experienced lifters will model appropriate behaviors and check
for understanding. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.monitor students for correct lifting and spotting techniques(correct
as needed)
2.give verbal and nonverbal cues to correct errors in technique |

G. Closure-
1.review lifts executed and muscle groups worked.
2.execute a cool down for the muscles and discuss the lifts that will
be done the next day |

7. Evaluation-
|
1.class will have a technique test before plyos
2.students will display a gradual improvement in muscular strength
and endurance.improvement will be measured by utilizing one rep max
lifts. |
