2. Content-
Physical development of a baby from the moment of conception until birth.

Spiritual needs of a mother during pregnancy, especially when the baby is most vulnerable to abortion.

The importance of respecting life and committing oneself to nine months of prayer for a "spiritual baby".

Key vocabulary: conception, fetus, gestation, trimester, uterus
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1. To completely define each stage of pregnancy and the development of a baby.
2. To organize/present
a slideshow with guidelines from the teacher, yet creativity from the student.
4. Objectives-
1. Students will be able to follow directions of a given format.
2. Students will act respectfully during searches for information, and the sensitivity of the nature of a woman's body.
5. Materials and Aids-
Spiritual adoption packet that is broken into 9 month sections.

Computers, use of computer programs such as:keynote, garage band, Google, and other secure/approved websites
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Discuss how our adoption program is going, on the 6th month now.
2.Recap each month of development.
3.Discuss our Pro-Life baby shower and needing to get our birth announcements made and put into slide show.

B. Development-

1.Students may give examples of birth announcements they have seen.
2. Teacher will hand out packet with information of development and assignment.
3. Examples can be found on computers from past students slideshows.

C. Practice-

1. Setting up keynote program
for each student.
2. Giving lists of approved websites that are Catholic.
3.Use of science websites that may be used will be given as well.

D. Independent Practice-

1. Letting students research websites and/or using Google to aid with this.
2. Observe students as they look for photos, information, possibly draw a lay out of ideas.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

If any accommodations are needed, which is not expected, the teacher will assist as necessary.

F. Checking for understanding-

Observe each student as they work, answer questions they may have, help with ideas for students, if necessary.

G. Closure-

1. This particular assignment will takes weeks to complete (due to time restraints in computer room).Progress will be monitored weekly as we work on this.
2.Ask for volunteers to show what they have put together so far.
7. Evaluation-
1.Teacher and class will view each presentation.
2.Teacher has a rubric of points for each category of material and slide content.
8. Teacher Reflection-
I will carefully consider if students followed directions and made this a meaningful project to themselves, for example: did the student use the baby's name, use pronouns;her/him, did student use creativity in plan.
