Preventive System: Religion
 
2. Content-
This subject values most our Catholic Practices of Piety, following the Church Instructions that call for active, full and conscious participation of the believers. This has been promoted by Don Bosco during his lifetime in his ministry as priest and in his apostolate to the young people as their brother, father and friend. Don Bosco has a unique way of promoting this piety, he put it as one of the Preventive systems. (Farther discussion and explanation ahead...)
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
We expect the students may be able to show love and practice according to how Don Bosco guide and teach the young in his time
 
4. Objectives-
At the end of this class the students will be able to;

1. To explain about how Don Bosco cared the young in this way.
2.To act the Catholic Practices of Piety
3.To respond the call of the church to holiness
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Laptop, CD Player, Pictures, Video, Bible, Catechism for Filipino Catholics etc...
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Explain how Don Bosco come up such preventive system
2. Ask the students what are practices of piety they knew already and have been attended.
3. Cite following situation that Don Bosco practice the various practices of piety in his oratory
 

B. Development-

1.Story telling: About practices of piety were applied by Don Bosco (Such as confession, recollection, exercise of a happy death...
2.Emphasize the main pillars of the Preventive system: Religion
3.The practice of preventive system in every Salesian setting throughout the years
 

C. Practice-

1.Praying the Holy Rosary and be participated by the students
2. Catechism about what are obligations to our catholic Church and why we obey the pope and the church hierarchy.
3.Explain about our faith and our life a honest Christian and responsible citizen.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.The students are asks to write down the ff; Seven Sacraments, Ten Commandments and Eight Beatitudes.
2.The students, together with the help of their parents, will report what are the sacraments they have received already
3. The students will also right how often he? she go to confession, attend mass and receive Holy Communion.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Showing film about Don Bosco
2.Explain the movie
3.Showing pictures about various practices of piety
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.1-10 exam
2.Situational opinion of the students
3.Essay
 

G. Closure-

Integrating the preventive system of Don Bosco especially religion and the Practice of piety in our daily life as Catholics.
 
7. Evaluation-
1.Out of 50 students at lest 35 will pass the "Checking for Understanding"
2.Recall everything and write what are the positive and negative outcome of the lesson.
 
8. Teacher Reflection-
I, as teacher must fully equipped in teaching career, well-rounded to the subject matter and be able to adopt the situation of teaching.
