Evil entered the world through a human act and we need God's help to avoid sin.

To seek God's help and share God's love with others.
 
2. Content-
soul-the invisible spiritual reality that makes each of us human.

steward-is a person who is given the authority over what he or she cares for and the responsibility for seeing that it lives and grows.

sin- is a thought, word, deed, or omission against God's law.

Original Sin- weakened human nature and brought ignorance, suffering and death into the world.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
For students to understand the following:
1. God created human beings body and soul.
2. God called us to be stewards of creation.
3. Evil entered the world through a human act
4. All people suffer from the effects of original sin.
 
4. Objectives-
1. Bring together first three chapters.
2. Relate God's word being passed down to Tae Kwon Do being passed down.
3. Compare chapter story page 43E to upcoming demonstration March 14th.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Quickly review chapter 1:
-We can know God through his creation
-God makes himself known through Divine Revelation which is handed down through Bible and tradition -> brief comparison to TKD being handed down through tradition.
-Bible is a collection of books.

...and Chapter 2:
-Book of Genesis about beginnings.
-God created the universe and is the source of all life.
-Human beings are created in God's image and likeness.
 

B. Development-

1. Discuss personal gifts and how they can be used to help others and know and love God.
ex: Mr. Kullman and I teaching TKD.

2. Read pages 34 & 35 and then 44.

-In what ways do two accounts agree?
God is the creator.

-What do both emphasize? Humanity as high point of creation.
 

C. Practice-

Read chapter story on page 43E. Compare to upcoming demonstration on March 14th.
