Without faith, our Islam is incomplete.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Knowing what the purpose of having faith in Islam.
2. Understanding why is it important in Islam.
3. Being able to apply it to real life situations.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Being able to understand what it means to have faith.
2. Discussing the different aspects in Islam that depend on our faith. Also, how it can make us better Muslims.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
1. Having a jewelry box without jewels to demonstrate how our hearts are without Faith
2. Ayat from the Quran
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1. Start out with greeting the class.
2.Giving an empty beautiful jewelry box to one student and another jewelry box with fake jewels inside.
 

B. Development-

1.Will discuss with the class which box is more valuable?
2. Have the students understand the connection it has with our hearts.
 

C. Practice-

1. Memorize the ayah as a class until everyone knows it.
2. Memorize and understand the meaning of the ayah.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Trying to have the students come up with other real life connections that they are able to relate to Iman. Show how our life is in need of it. For example, a zoo without animals is worthless.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Can discuss how it is important to think of Iman.
2. Making a list in the class of examples to help the students understand the connection.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. What can you do to increase your Iman?
2. What can I (the student) change on my own to become a better Muslim?
 

G. Closure-

1. Assign the students to think about what they are going to do to increase their Iman.
2. Ask parents to be aware by helping their child do better things.
