2. Student will develop and perform an experiment using independent and dependent variables and a control
3. After collecting data, student will create a graph to analyze data.
4. Student will write a conclusion that addresses the hypothesis and using the data numbers to back up conclusion.

1. Lesson Introduction-

1. Introduce scientific method
2. Using made-up experiment, (Sponge Bob worksheets), students will identify control, indendent and dependent variables
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1. Do "Drops on a Penny" lab together to identify parts of the scientific method
 

3. Guided Practice-

1. Do "Bubbleology" lab in groups using the scientific method to discover which soap makes the biggest bubble
 

4. Student Practice-

1. Develop individual experiment using the scientific method.
2. Choose topic and question to answer
3. Do research on topic
