6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Read pg 24 Teach Ten Terrific Lessons.
2.Divide the students into 8 groups, each group with represent a planet.
3.Read How to Memorize the Planets of the Solar System.
 

B. Development-

1.Listen to the Discover and Learn CD, as you pick out the planet groups.
2. Discuss how to properly paint and clean up after painting.
 

C. Practice-

1.(20 minutes)Students will use their fact card to paint their planet.
2.Students will read their fact card as their painting.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.(10 minutes)Student will fill out plant worksheet.
2.Students will use there own judgment on painting their planet.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Students are allowed as much time as needed to get planet painted.
2.Students will use solar system electronic game for further study.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.(10) minutes)Have students fill out space journals
2.End of week planet test

7. Evaluation-
