3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1. Students will be introduced to cloud formations
2.Students will get a sense of how clouds are formed
3.Students will be introduced to how clouds are different
 
4. Objectives-
1.Students will identify cloud formations names/ types with 75-80% accuracy.
2. Students will describe the process of a cloud forming with 75-80% accuracy.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Interactive Whiteboard
Cloud formation worksheet
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Ask students what they know about clouds
2.See what they know and don't know about clouds
3. Ask if they know when we see clouds and when we don't. Maybe if they know why that is.
 

B. Development-

1. Start off talking about clouds and how they are formed.
2. This will lead into the different kinds of clouds and the formation names.
3. Show a picture of the cloud formations and show which cloud corresponds to the names to help visually connect them.
 

C. Practice-

1. Have the students help with matching the clouds to their correct formation.
2. Have the students help identify different characteristics of the clouds to help understand them better.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Have them fill work in groups or individually to help fill out worksheet/ activity page on cloud formations.
2. The students will fill out an activity sheet showing how clouds are formed.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1. Students that need extra support are given an activity sheet that is modified to help them.
2.Worksheets that are given out have a word bank on them.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1. Worksheet
2.Activity sheets
 

G. Closure-

1.Ask someone what they learned during the lesson
2.See if any of the students can identify and name the different cloud formations learned during the lesson.
