A. Introduction-

1. Read unit on sedimentary
rock and fossils
2. Make predictions
3. Write predictions on
graphic organizer
 

B. Development-

1. Show pictures of
sedimentary rock
2. Show pictures of fossils
3. Show samples of sedimentary rocks
 

C. Practice-

1. Students place candies onto waxed paper lined foil
2. Students roll foil around candies to make a pouch
3. Students put pressure on pouch and unwrap
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Students do a fill-in
worksheet
2. Students draw a picture of
the "rock"
3. Student describe what
happened to the candies
