A. Introduction-
1. Show clips of the disaster in Japan
2. Discuss the steps that are being taken for the people.
3. Show "Learn From My Stories" project that blends documentary interviews
with individual stories. |

B. Development-
1. Discuss and show pictures placed into iMovie from my own experience
of a tornado.
2. Explain the minutes before, during and after the tornado.
3. Show an Internet demonstration of a tornado passing through a town. |

1. Have the students begin searching for natural disasters on the
computer, resource materials, etc.
2. Begin brainstorming the types of natural disasters that occur in
the Kansas area.
3. Discuss stories that the students have heard from family and friends
