1.Students are given a sheet with directions to create their own working water wheel to keep their company in business
2.Students bring in materials
 

B. Development-

1.Discussion of workings of a water wheel, including axle and stand.
 

C. Practice-

1.Students work in partner groups to build a working water wheel.

2.Students test water wheel dry and modify.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Continue modifications
2.Test with water in pool
3.modify and retest
 

G. Closure-

Discuss what worked and what did not.
