3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-

-Students will leave class with knowledge of understanding of the
multiple evidences of evolution. They will receive multiple worksheets
and observe a PowerPoint. |

4. Objectives-
|
-Students will attempt to understand and comprehend the evidence
supporting the idea of evolution. The class will work either alone
or in pairs for the worksheet and wordsearch. The coloring sheets
can be done alone and on a different date if time becomes an issue. |
|

5. Materials and Aids-
|
-Two coloring sheet, two worksheets, and a PowerPoint |
|
|
6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
-Class will begin with a simple coloring sheet, to familiarize themselves
with evolution. |
|
|
B. Development-
-Students will then view the PowerPoint, informing them of the many
evidences of evolution. |
|
|
C. Practice-
-Students will do a wordsearch using the key words from the PowerPoint.
Students can choose to have a word box, but are encouraged to complete
the wordsearch without. |
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
-Students will complete the Understanding Evolution worksheet alone,
or with one partner.

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
-Completion of second coloring sheet |
|
|
F. Checking for understanding-
-Discussion of second coloring sheet, of how the pictures appear
similar. |

G. Closure-
-Answers to worksheet and wordsearch |
