Linguistic content: The students will learn recycling vocabulary
such as environmental words (environment, waste..), Materials ( plastic
bottles, paper bags..), Containers (red/yellow/blue bin) and verbs
and phrases (to put, to throw..). |

5. Materials and Aids-
|
Workbook, chart of the 3 Rs:Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, games, 3
recycling containers, list of verbs and phrases |

6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
In this lesson, that will be composed of 2 sessions,students will
learn the recycling vocabulary that will be related to everyday situations.
They will also learn the difference of the packaging materials and
what can they do to help the environment both in their school and
homes. |
|
|
B. Development-
1. Students will be given a list of vocabulary and verbs.
They will be introduced to the lesson by learning the vocabulary and
verbs provided in the workbook and in the list they will be given.
2. Students will learn the recycling process (the 3 Rs)
After knowing the vocabulary and verbs, they will learn which material
goes to which container.
3. Students will be taught to link the recycling containers with verbs
and materials.

1. Exercises about the vocabulary, verbs and phrases
2. Practical exercises about the recycling process with the recycling
containers (glass, plastic and paper)
3. A class discussion about how and where recycle |

D. Independent Practice-
1. Make a class discussion about how and where recycle
2. In groups of 3 make a presentation board about the recycling process

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
1.Ask the students how do you recycle at home.
2. Show them on a chart the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. |

F. Checking for understanding-
1.They will receive feedback by collecting and correcting the vocabulary,
verbs and phases exercises
2. They will also receive feedback of the presentation boards |

7. Evaluation-
|
Students will be graded by the exposition of the presentation board
