Students will find a leisure activity and take part in it.
 
4. Objectives-
To identify the benefits of having activities outside of work.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
List of recreation and volunteer activities.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Discuss some leisure activities that students would like to take part in.
2.Pass out the list of recreation and volunteer activities.
3.Students should pick three things that are of interest to them.
 

B. Development-

1.Have students write down the three things that interest them, have them list the times that these activities occur.
2.Students will then pick the activity that best fits their schedule.
 

C. Practice-

1.Students will write down the information they need to take part in this activity.
2.Students will contact the appropriate person to join this activity.
 

D. Independent Practice-

Students need to write why they have chosen this activity and what they want to get from it.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.Provide students with funds to join appropriate activity.
2.Read list of activities to students.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Ask students how they are feeling about being in this particular activity.
 

G. Closure-

Provide transportation for the students if needed.
 
7. Evaluation-
Students will join activity and share their experience with the class.
