Teacher Objectives-
1.KWL to find out what they know. (Jeopardy)
2.Groups to get students involved with the subject.
3.Questions to see whether they are understanding the material.

Dry/Erase boards to start class. (Jeopardy)
Powerpoint.
Handouts.
 
Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

1.Jeopardy to figure out what they know.
2.The first big event that leads to French Revolution.
3.What happens to the peasants during this time.
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1.Explain how the 3rd estate broke from the monarchy and had the "Tennis Court Pledge"
2.How the peasants where starving during the "Bread Riots."
3.The fear of the government attacking the people so the people attack the Bastille to get the weapons before the army could.
4.The "Great Fear" after the Bastille which the peasants attack the nobles.
 

3. Guided Practice-

1.Go over powerpoint and ask questions about the topic.
2.Pass out handout with questions to be discussed in group.
3.Have the groups give out their answers to be discussed by everyone in class.
 

4. Student Practice-

1.Have them read the read the chapter.
2.Write a small paragraph on if they were living in this period what they would have done.
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

1.If a student asks a interesting question that leads to something follow it.
2.If some of the students need more time on one part of the subject, spend more time on it.
 

6. Assessment-

1.Before the end of class ask questions to see if they are understanding the material.
 

7. Lesson Closure-

1.Before the end of class ask questions to see if they are understanding the material.
2.Assign the homework.
 
Measuring Student Progress-
1.Jeopardy to see if they retained the information.
