Expected Outcome Of This Lesson Plan-
|
1.Find 5 different imortant places around the city
2.Know where each place is located and how to get there
3.Pick one of these five places and make a brief presentation on the history and the significance of it |

Teacher Objectives-
|
1.Have students use technology in the classroom
2.Learn about the great history of the city and the places within the city
3.Have an in depth knowledge of a historical place around the local area |

Computer with internet access, LCD projector connected to your computer |
|
|
Teaching Methods-
|
1. Lesson Introduction-
1.Hand out the instructions for this assignment and explain to the students what they are to do
|
|
|
2. Lesson Progression-
1.Using a LCD projector in class show students the basic features of Google earth
2.While showing them the basic features take them to a historic place, like they are to do, and show them a way and a place to do their assignment |

3. Guided Practice-
1.Give the students time to accomplish this in the computer lab, because some of the students may not have internet access in their home
|
|
|
4. Student Practice-
1.As the class is working on this the teacher is to ask each student how they are doing to make sure that they are on track and doing the assignment correctly |

|
5. Learner Accommodations-
1.For students that do not have the experience on the computers, stop and give them personal assisstance in order to help them on their way |
|
|
6. Assessment-
1.Ask the students as a whole whether they are having any trouble and help the students that are in need of assisstance |

7. Lesson Closure-
1.Make sure all students understand the process and what they are have supposed to learn
2.They now have more of a knowledge of places around the city by using technology |

1.See what the extent of the students knowledge is of the points of interest
2.Ask them various questions about the palces that they have found |
