The lesson will focus on important and influential figures in United States history leading up to and during the American Revolution and the formation of the nation.

Expected Outcome Of This Lesson Plan-
1. How great of an impact on the formation of the United States did various figures in American History have during and after the American Revolution?

Teacher Objectives-
1.Students will be able to identify prominent political, social, and economic figures in American history during the time period.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the impact particular individuals had in the formation of the United States.
3. Students will be able to formulate specific questions in identifying the individuals.

Resources-
3"x5" index cards
Tape

Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

1. Instructor will introduce the lesson with a brief overview of the various people that the class has studied recently.
2. A brief description of the review game will be explained to the students.

2. Lesson Progression-

1. The instructor will provide an example of the review game with a sample to demonstrate to the students how to play.

3. Guided Practice-

1.Each student will have a 3"x 5" note card taped to their back with the name of an historical personality the class has studied written on it. The student will not know the name of this person. Their goal is to try to identify "who they are" by asking questions that can be answered with a "yes" or "no" answer. Some simple rules to follow are: no more than two questions at a time can be asked of any one person, the student must figure out who he/she is within 20 questions. Everyone who does this is a winner but the person who figures out who he/she is in the least number of questions is the grand winner. It might help if each student started with a paper numbered from 1 to 20. After each question, a number is erased (or checked) off.

4. Student Practice-

1.When everyone has completed the activity a sheet with all of the personalities on it can be assigned for each student to make a general statement about.

5. Learner Accommodations-

Students needing accomodations based on IEP will be given assistance.

6. Assessment-

1. The instructor will be able to informally assess the students' knowledge of the figures during the game.
2. The activity sheet can also be used as an assessment of the students' overall knowledge of figures and what they learned from the review game.

7. Lesson Closure-

1. After the students are finished with the activity sheet, the instructor should once again review the figures discussed from American History.
2. The instructor should then ask the students if they have any questions about a particular person that was reviewed.

Measuring Student Progress-
1. Quiz show game will be done for study review.
