1. Lesson Introduction-
1. Student will answer following question in their notes:
-What events could lead to a nation being taken over by a dictator. please list. |

2. Lesson Progression-
1. Give quick background lecture on each military leader being discussed.
2. Show video of one of Adolf Hitler's speeches to show how persuasive he was and able to gain support |

3. Guided Practice-
1. Venn Diagram students must complete to show similarities and differences between Mussolini, Hitler and Franco
2. Cause and effect diagram for each nation (Italy, Germany and Spain)to show events that led to eventual takeover.
3. Discuss the video on Hitler's speech and talk about students thoughts on it |
