Expected Outcome Of This Lesson Plan-
1. Student should fully understand the main events of the Persian War and how one event could completely change them.
2.Students should know the main players of the Persian War.
3.Students should understand the importance of decisions and how one decisison can affect many others.
 
Teacher Objectives-
1.Students should do research to be able to "get inside someone's head"
2.Students should predict what would happen "if"
3.Students should reflect on the consequences of there players actions
 
Resources-
Students can use a variety of materials to complete the project ranging from a poster, to powerpoint, to video, but students are required to use at least one visual aid.
 
Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

In the past couple weeks we have been studying Ancient Greece and the Empire it created. We have also studied the Persian War. Now your task is to get into the head of one of the main players of the Persian War, but you are to make a different decision....
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1.Students will look at examples of previous years work to get a better idea of what is to be included in the project.
2.Students will take notes about their "player" and their role in the War
 

3. Guided Practice-

1.Students will use this knowledge to predict what would have happened if that person had made a different decision during the war.
2.Student will provide evidence using what did happen to explain why they think after the change the events they thought would happend, happened.
 

4. Student Practice-

1. Students will then make some sort of visual aid to present their ideas to the class.
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

1.Students will have time in class to do research.
2.Students can use a variety of visual aids, so students can play to thier strengths.
 

6. Assessment-

1. Students will give presentation to the class.
2. Students will have to thought through the events of the war and the consequences of actions
 

7. Lesson Closure-

1. We will have a discussion after the presentation on whether we agree or disagree on what was predicted, and why that is.
 
Measuring Student Progress-
1.Students will be graded on both thier notes over research and thier presentation to the class.
