Expected Outcome Of This Lesson Plan-
1. Understand critical points in the world war.
2. Apply knowledge in own creative form.
3. Practice public speaking skills through presentation to the class.
 
Teacher Objectives-
1. Create and original project.
2. Work and combine ideas from other members of the group.
3. Explore time management skills.
4. Practice researching with an internet database.
 
Resources-
E-books, .ORG websites, credited websites, powerpoint, itunes, imovie, iphoto, camera, ipod and computer.
 
Teaching Methods-

1. Lesson Introduction-

1. Introducing the vocabulary to be applied to the project.
2. Go over Pearl Harbor and the effect of that event incorporated with America's stand in the war thus far. Show different videos (youtube) and footage.
3. Rules and guidelines for project.
 

2. Lesson Progression-

1. Show the project I have down of my own.
2. Brainstorm as a group on different ideas for a creative project that incorporates the themes.
3. Hand out a sheet of helpful tools and websites.
 

3. Guided Practice-

1. Group projects evaluated daily. POSITIVE comments, and some things I may suggest they improve on.
 

4. Student Practice-

1. Practice public speaking, communication and organization skills
 

5. Learner Accommodations-

1. If time does not allow (3 class periods) for the project to get done, adjusting the schedule will be accommodated.
2. Directions for powerpoint, imovie etc.. will be explained when needed.
3.
 

6. Assessment-

1. At the end of the presentations, student's will be taking notes on what they have just learned.
2. This information will be used as a study tool for the test.
3. Group evaluations will be handed out at the end of the class period, some things they liked doing, and wish they would have done different.
 

7. Lesson Closure-

1. Feedback by me and grade based on evaluation sheets and requirements filled.
2. Check for understanding by reviewing knowledge obtained by the groups in chronological order.
3. Finish presentations with a multiple choice, extra credit essay test.
 
Measuring Student Progress-
1. Keep a journal of what worked, what didn't work in this project.
2. Make notes of what the student's enjoyed and what they struggled with.
