3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.to provide assistance and support to Northeast Ohio Counties involved in or impacted by a critical incident regardless of location
2.To support any agency/person(s) in response to critical incidents involving residents of Northeast Ohio Counties, and paying attention to the immediate needs of members of the Northeast Ohio Counties community.
 
4. Objectives-
It is the Police Department's belief that through continued training, this team can address whatever critical incident it may face. There is special emphasis regarding the team's utilization center on bringing a peaceful resolution to all critical incidents. 

The primary task of the team is to act as an intermediary tactical unit specially trained and equipped to deal with incidents involving barricaded subjects, hostage rescue operations, armed suicidal subjects, mentally disturbed persons, civil disobedience, search warrant executions, special enforcement operations and all other similar incidents.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

To offer guidance and appropriate support to members of the Northeast Ohio Counties, their families, and the caregivers.
 

B. Development-

The team will train a minimum of one 10-hour day per month, devoting time to tactical training, range skills and physical fitness
 

C. Practice-

The CIRT Team is comprised of 12 full-time members of each Police District which is divided into two separate team elements.  Each team element has a Team Leader and an Assistant Team Leader who direct the team members as a cohesive unit when being deployed.
Each CIRT member will be held accountable for for his or her actions and tactics.
 

D. Independent Practice-

There will be a bi-weekly role call in which you will attend. You will be required to show any training related to assisting in Critical Incident Responses both completed and scheduled for the future. You will demonstrate a professional attitude at all time especially during critical times. YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS

We will set individual goals to help measure progress and see that we remain complaint
