8. Teacher Reflection-
|
As a new teacher, I found putting together a lesson plan that integrated
a
Jeopardy PowerPoint very beneficial as well as challenging. As I was
creating the PowerPoint on the Scientific Revolution, I had to think
critically about the main categories to review since the concept can
be expansive. In the end, I thought vocabulary terms and significant
figures of the time would break down the material easily. Consequently,
the Jeopardy PowerPoint started taking shape and I was learning how
to create an engaging game that provided me with a Scientific Revolution
review as well as a tool that could permit excellent learning outcomes.
I found integrating a Jeopardy PowerPoint that shows how a teacher
can take a concept, such as the Scientific Revolution and integrate
it into the classroom can be very helpful. The technology is a powerful
resource wherein I as a teacher can breakdown material for review
and not have it be boring. Rather, students are now able to review
for a test or quiz in a fun, collaborative, and engaging environment.
The technology also increases student comprehension of material in
that students are retaining the material in a subliminal manner and
are achieving higher scores
on their exams. As a result, I feel using the integration of technology
in a classroom will have my preparation for lessons to be much easier
and faster. |
