1. Topic-
The Atomic Bomb
 
2. Content-
The Atomic Bomb was dropped in 1945. Some of the key scientists working on the atomic bomb were Robert Oppenheimer and Leo Szlizard. The first test Atomic Bomb was "The Gadget", The bomb was created under the codename the Manhattan Project.
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.I want the students to understand who created the bomb and for what reason it was being commissioned.
2. I want the students to understand the sites chosen to drop the bomb and the reasoning for dropping the bombs, also the difference in affects between Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
3.I want the Students to understand the affects caused from the bomb such as the initial explosions power and the radiation damage caused by the bomb.
 
4. Objectives-
1.The student will learn about the events leading up to the creation and the creation of the bomb.
2.The student will learn about the dropping of the bomb and the choices made in dropping the bomb.
3.The student will learn about the after affects of the bomb such as the cancer and the political side of dropping the bomb and the end of the Second World War.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Introduce myself and greet the class.
2.Introduce them to the Atomic Bomb and what I will be teaching them, which is when the United States begin work on the bomb in 1939 up until its deployment in 1945.
3.Introduce the students to the activity/ quiz they will take to show what they learned and give them incentive to take the test legitimately
 

B. Development-

1.Creating the power point to show the information to the students.
2.Getting an improved time to go into the class and present to the students.
3.Creating the activity for the students to take to show what they have learned.
 

C. Practice-

1.The student will take a 10 question survey on the Atomic Bomb before and after the lesson.
2.The Student will have the option of a more interesting alternative a word search on the Atomic Bomb.
3.The student will be offered an incentive to answer the questions legitimately and there scores will be analyzed.
 

Checking for understanding-
