We will be discussing the history of The Liberty Bell
 
3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
1.Find out when the Liberty was founded.
2.What caused The Liberty Bell
3.State where The Liberty Bell is located.
 
4. Objectives-
1.Teach the children how to count.
2.Teach them how to draw
3.Teach them some history about some of the famous things in the U.S.
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Paper, pencil, crayons
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Focus on The Liberty Bell
2.Tell the history of The Liberty Bell.
3.Describe some the events that took place.
 

B. Development-

1.Help children to understand different shapes
2. Improve their counting skills
3.Help to improve some learning about why the bell came into existence.
 

C. Practice-

1.Show the paper you have with The Liberty Bell.
2.Explain to them you want them to go from 1 until the final number to make sure they have a complete shaped bell
3.Tell them to color the bell.
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Watch them as they go from one number to the next.
2.Make sure they are counting in the correct order.
3.Make sure they color the bell.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

1.For the ones having a problem with numbers you will help them to understand how to count.
2.for the ones who just draw and don't look at the numbers you have to work with them to make sure they understand that they are to go from number to number in correct order
3.Make sure they know what the shape of a bell looks like
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.As you walk around and observe make sure the children understand what you are talking about because some children need more direct instruction than others.
2.for the ones who understand let them volunteer to help others.
3.Continually ask if anyone has any questions or assistance.
 

G. Closure-

1.You should make sure that every student understands what they have just completed.
2.Ask questions about The Liberty Bell when everyone is completed to see what they have learned.
