3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
|
1. Students will understand the outcome of prejudices, anti-Semitism,
and hate.
2. Students will master the concept of equality through knowledge
of the consequences of inequality. |

4. Objectives-
|
1. I can show tolerance towards others even if they do not share
the same beliefs, values, and ethnicity.
2. I can take what happened in previous historical events and reflect
on what the current world is like and create change in the areas of
inequality. |

5. Materials and Aids-
|
BrainPop video, video quiz, vocabulary worksheet, index cards, poster
paper, and markers. |
|
|
6. Procedures/Methods-
|
A. Introduction-
Review and discuss the lessons and videos viewed in order to frontload
information already mastered. |
|
|
B. Development-
View BrainPOP Holocaust video. This video in-depth discusses the
key vocabulary connected to the Holocaust unit. |
|
|
C. Practice-
Teacher will model the vocabulary activity for the class before
splitting them into their groups. |
|
|
D. Independent Practice-
1.Each student will be assigned a group.
2. The group will be assigned a vocabulary word to define on a poster
and will then act out the meaning of the word to the class. |
|
|
E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-
Students at lower levels will receive a vocabulary word that can
be easily defined. The students will also have a peer in their group
that is at a higher level than they are. |
|
|
F. Checking for understanding-
As the groups are preparing the poster to show the class and creating
their scripts to act out, the teacher will walk around the class checking
on each group for any need for clarification. |
|
|
G. Closure-
Upon the completion of the group presentations the vocabulary meanings
will be reviewed. |
