Given the theme for the week, "Animals on Land & Sea," the students will be able to identify specific animals that live only on land and specific animals that live only in water by participating in a variety of "I Do, We Do, & You Do" activities throughout the week.

A. Introduction-

TUES- Gather children to carpet for Circle Time. Read, Big Book- "Animal Babies," Think/Talk Time *Let children help retell story.
WED- Gather children, read, "The Ocean Is...,"� Think/Talk Time
THURS- Gather children, listen to, "Who's in Rabbit's House," *Using Audio CD Theme 5, Think/Talk Time

WED- Each child will color/cut his/her set of jungle and ocean animal puppets to take home.
THURS- Each child will choose his favorite animal in preparation for class Science Fair Project.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

Teacher/Peer Modeling, Allow ample time to complete projects/activities, Assist as needed
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Teacher will ask questions throughout and encourage responses from each child to ensure understanding.
 

G. Closure-

The children will gather back to carpet each day to share/discuss their completed project.
 
7. Evaluation-
Observation/Informal Assessments- inputting this information into- The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Ages 3-5 Program & into IEP Goals Chart for those children who have IEP's
