Given the Theme for the Wk- "Build With Me," the children will-
*compare problems in stories with real-life problems,
*use comparative words for length such as long, longer, longest, and short, shorter, and shortest,
*name simple machines and tools,and
*identify and use safety gear by participating in "I Do, We Do, & You Do" activities throughout the week.

WED- Gather children, read- Teacher Read Aloud "The Builder and the Oni" Think/Talk Time
THURS- Gather children, read- "Real Building Bugs" Think/Talk Time
 

B. Development-

TUES- Sing/Act out- Theme Song- "We're in the Zone!"
WED- Sing/Act out- "This is the Way We Build The Bridge"
THURS- Sing/Act out- "Eeensy Weensy Spider"
 

C. Practice-

TUES- Interactive Site

D. Independent Practice-

TUES- Each child will color/cut his/her story telling props for "Bumbling Building Bugs"
WED- Each child will make his/her own tool box with tools out of construction paper.
THURS- Each child will create his/her own spider web
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

Teacher/Peer Modeling, Allow ample time to complete projects/activities, 1 to 1 and small group assistance
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Teacher will ask questions throughout and encourage responses from each child to ensure understanding. *Checklist/Rating Scale will also be completed on each child to use for assessment.
 

G. Closure-

The children will gather back to carpet each day to share/discuss their completed project.
 
7. Evaluation-
Observation/Informal Assessments- inputting this information into- The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Ages 3-5 Program & into IEP Goals Chart for those children who have IEP's.
