3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
To encourage each child to identify the different seasons and some of the specific activities people participate in during each season.
 
4. Objectives-
Given the theme for the week- "Seasons," each child will identify and describe some of the major events of each season by participating in "I Do, We Do, & You Do" activities throughout the week.

A. Introduction-

TUES- Gather children to carpet, read "A Tree is Nice," & "The Snowy Day," Think/Talk Time
WED- Gather children to carpet, read "Are You Spring," & "Little Critter Goes Camping" Think/Talk Time
THURS-Gather children to carpet, let children choose which books read on Tues & Wed to read again. Think/Talk Time
*All Books for Theme are in our Book Basket.
 

B. Development-

TUES- Sing/Actions "Autumn," & "I'm A Little Snowflake" (Will be sung @ IW Winter Concert)
WED- Sing/Actions "Five Little Caterpillars"
THURS- Sing/Actions "Sunny Day!"
*All words/actions to fingerplays are attached to lesson plan.
 

C. Practice-

TUES- Each child will make his/her own Symmetry Leaf using yarn, paint, & leaf template.

THURS- Each child will make his/her own paper chain caterpillar and a coffee filter butterfly.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

Teacher/Peer Modeling, Allow ample time to complete projects/activities, Assist as needed
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Teacher will ask questions throughout and encourage responses from each child to ensure understanding.
 

G. Closure-

TUES- Gather children back to carpet to share completed project.
WED- Gather children back to carpet to share completed project.
THURS-Gather children back to carpet to share completed project.
