1.To be able to identify 10 main colors
2.to be able to communicate the students favorite/least favorite color
3.To be able to identify students own and the eye color of others
 
4. Objectives-
1. To get the children to communicate with each other in English only
2. Clear understanding of negative and positive opinions
3. Revision of pronouns and sentence structure.

6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

1.Warm up-
Write my name on the board, ask several pupils at random to write their own names on the board to quickly revise the English alphabet (2 mins)

2. Teaser- point to things in the room and pupils clothing, eyes, hair etc. and repeat a color, then show a flash card of that color. Drill that one color, write on the board. (2 mins)
 

B. Development-

1. Do this for the following 9 colors, drilling the pronunciation (18 mins) To finish and check understanding Use Russian flag as example, use British flag- Blue white and red. (1 min)
 

C. Practice-

1.My favorite color is- using expressions I demonstrate which color I like the best and the least, call on a pupil to share his with the class. (4 mins)
2. What is your eye caller? Present a picture of a celebrity with blue eyes. (Angelina Jolie HAS blue eyes)
I HAVE brown eyes and point to my own eyes. (1 min)
Pick on several students to ask what eye color the have, and what another pupils eye caller is.(2 mins)
 

D. Independent Practice-

1. Our Class!
Ask pupils to go around and ask each other what eye color they have, what their favorite eye caller is and what their least favorite color is, make a tally chart to record findings. (10 mins)
 

Checking for understanding-

1.call class back together to sit and discuss findings.
Make a chart on the board. Ask pupils to share the information they gathered, checking pronunciation. (10 mins)

Ask who has each eye caller, show of hands, ask who has yellow, pink eyes to check.
(5 mins)
 

Closure-

1.Give out a homework sheet, caller scramble.
2.explain the basics of the homework, to make the caller out of the jumbled words.. such as loewyl= yellow. do one example. (5 mins)
ask what we learnt today.
Class chant- spelling- colors- C O L O R S
tell pupils to learn spellings.
Say good bye. (2 mins)
 
7. Evaluation-
Prepare a small spelling revision test to start next lesson.
