3. Goals: Aims/Outcomes-
Students will learn about saving picture files to their computer.

Students will understand the importance of where they save their picture and what naming convention should be used.

Students will create a digital picture utilizing Web 2.0 Tool "Kerpoof"� and save it to their computer.
 
4. Objectives-

5. Materials and Aids-
Computer, Internet, SMARTBoard. Technology is utilized for the majority of the lesson.
 
6. Procedures/Methods-

A. Introduction-

State objectives.

Introduction to the lesson & Prezi.
 

B. Development-

I will demonstrate how and where to save Kerpoof picture files and what naming convention should be used.
 

C. Practice-

1. Students will go to their computers and double click on the Ms. Franklin's Hive Icon.
2. Students will go to the STUDENTS tab and then select 2ND GRADE and then LESSONS.
3. Students will click on the KERPOOF Icon to launch the internet site.
4. Students will click on the MAKE A PICTURE tool on the Kerpoof site.
5. Students will select the scene they want to use and begin creating their picture.
6. Students will be encouraged to add text features (such as labels and/or sentences) to their work.
7. Students will click on the JPEG Icon from the KERPOOF toolbar and raise their hand in the air indicating that they are ready for me to observe their picture saving process.

 

D. Independent Practice-

Students will click on the JPEG Icon from the KERPOOF toolbar and raise their hand in the air indicating that they are ready for me to observe their picture saving process.
 

E. Accommodations (Differentiated Instruction)-

I will monitor and guide the students individually that need additional assistance. G/T Students may create/save additional pictures.
 

F. Checking for understanding-

Students will be instructed to raise their hand when they have finished creating their picture so that I may observe them save it to their computer.
 

G. Closure-

Ask how, where & why we save our picture files.
 
7. Evaluation-
I will use a checklist noting which students are successful/unsuccessful in completing the task so that I may reteach the skill while others complete an independent task.
