Accuracy Linear Perspective
The drawing has five
or more different areas of failed usage of linear perspective.
These areas detract from the piece making the work lose
its sense of depth.
The drawing has three
or four different areas of failed usage of linear perspective.
The drawing has serious flaws in the linear perspective,
but still has potential to be successful.
The drawing has one
or two different areas of failed usage of linear perspective.
The drawing is quite successful in the area of linear
perspective, but could be perfect with just a few corrections.
The drawing has no mistakes in Linear Perspective. It utilizes the system perfectly.
____
Quality of Value
The piece demonstrates
no sense of value steps. The depth of the piece becomes
confusing due to all of the objects having the same
value.
The piece does not utilize the entire spectrum of value. There are either two extremes of dark and light with not enough middle values, or there is too much focus on one set of values and not enough on the other set of value. For example a piece may have all dark values and no light values, or all middle values and no light or dark values, or all light values and no dark values.
The piece has a good
sense of value steps. The lightest values are in the
farthest away part of the picture a and gradually become
darker as they come to the foreground. The piece could
use just a couple more value steps to make the transition
more gradual.
The piece exemplifies
a mastery of value steps. The lightest values are in
the background and gradually transition into darker
values in the foreground. No additional value steps
are needed.

____
Number of Objects Attempted to be Drawn in Accurate Perspective
There is one or fewer objects drawn in linear perspective.
There are only two
to three objects drawing in linear perspective.
There are four to five objects drawn in linear perspective.
There are more than
five objects drawing in linear perspective.
____
Creativity
The piece does not seem to represent any type of fantasy environment at all. The student has done nothing to make the piece interesting for the viewer.
The piece slightly hints at some creative ideas, but overall is lacking in this category.
The piece is creative in many ways. It is interesting for the viewer but not entirely original.
The piece is creative, interesting, and original. It exceeds all this criteria.
____
Reflection (What would you change?) Must have three things you would change, plus explanations of why.
No reflection was turned in with the piece.
The reflection is either
missing some the necessary information, or not all of
the information provided demonstrates reasonable thinking.
The reflection includes
all of the necessary information, but not all of the
information is reasonable for the piece that was turned
in.
The reflection has all the parts completed and demonstrates reasonable answers.
