Interpretation
Answers do not reflect accurate comprehension of the story. "I really don't understand what I read."

Use of Detail in Answers
Answers do not have any detail or are incomplete. Answers are difficult to understand. "I didn't use any detail and I was not very clear in my answer."
Answers contain some details. Answers are sometimes understandable, but need to be more to the point. "I didn't use much detail and I could have been more clear in my answer."
Answers are usually complete and include several details. Answers are always easy to understand. "I used detail and I was clear in my answer. Anyone could understand my answer."
Answers are very easy to understand. Answers are always complete, extensive, and include many details. The reader can tell what the question is from your answer with page numbers to help. "My answer was so detailed and clear, I could teach a someone else about it."

Spelling
Work contained many spelling mistakes and needs a lot editing/fixing to correct errors. "I had more than 6 spelling errors."

Work is very easy to read, a lot of time has been given to appearance. "My paper looks like a 4th or 5th grader could have written it!"
