Backhand Throw
Two hands on disk when disk is released.
One hand on disk, dominant hand and foot toward target when disk is released.
Thumb is on top of disk. In a sideways stance, dominant hand and foot are toward target. Disk is thrown in a sideways motion across the body.
Thumb is on top of disk, index finger along the rim, and other fingers underneath. In a sideways stance, dominant hand and foot are toward target. Disk is thrown in a sideways motion across the body, snapping the wrist and disk is flat upon release release.

Underhand Throw
Both feet planted, student releases the disk with one hand.
Disk is released with one hand while opposite foot steps forward.
Thumb is on top of disk. Thrower faces target, holds Frisbee at side of the body, steps forward with the opposite leg and when throwing arm is out in front of the body, the disk is released.
Thumb is on top of disk, index finger along the rim, and other fingers underneath. Thrower faces target, holds Frisbee at side of the body, steps forward with the opposite leg and when throwing arm is out in front of the body, the disk is released with the disk parallel to the ground.

Sandwich Catch
Student raises hands in attempt to catch Frisbee and misses.
Student makes contact with Frisbee but drops the disk.
Student catches the Frisbee without hands being sandwiched above and below disk.
One hand is held at chin level and the other at stomach level while tracking the approaching Frisbee, hands adjust and Frisbee is caught by being sandwiched between one hand above and one hand below the disk.

Thumb-Down Catch
Student raises a hand in attempt to catch Frisbee and misses.
Student makes contact with Frisbee but drops the disk.
Student tracks the disk from the thrower and catches the Frisbee.
Catcher tracks the disk from throwers hand and catches disk waist level or above, with a hand shaped like a C, thumb pointing toward the ground.

Thumb-Up Catch
Student raises a hand in attempt to catch Frisbee and misses.
Student makes contact with Frisbee but drops the disk.
Student tracks the disk from the thrower and catches the Frisbee.
Hand forms a C while the thumb points up, with fingers spread to clamp the Frisbee when caught below waist level.
