Raking the Ball
into the Basket

Place the ball on the
ground. Student places non-dominant hand near the basket
and dominant hand near the end of the stick. Student
keeps non-dominant foot in front of the dominant foot.

Place bottom of basket
on top of the ball and pulls both ball and basket towards
them. Student places non-dominant hand near the basket
and dominant hand near the end of the stick. Student
keeps non-dominant foot in front of the dominant foot.
Place the ball on the ground.

Student places non-dominant
hand near the basket and dominant hand near the end
of the stick. Student keeps non-dominant foot in front
of the dominant foot. Place the ball on the ground.
Place bottom of basket on top of the ball and pull both
ball and basket towards them. Once ball is moving student
reverses direction of the basket and attempts to scoop
the ball into the basket.

hand near the basket and dominant hand near the end
of the stick. Place the ball on the ground. Place bottom
of basket on top of the ball and pull both ball and
basket towards them. Once ball is moving student reverses
direction of the basket and scoops the ball into the
basket. Ball ends up in the basket.

Overhand Toss

the non-dominant foot. Student places non-dominant hand
near the basket and dominant hand near the end of the
stick. Head of stick starts up by the ear. Basket is
pulled back behind the head and then travels forward.

stick. Head of stick starts up by the ear. Basket is
pulled back behind the head and then travels forward.
Push with dominant hand, pull with non-dominant hand
with equal force.

with equal force. Hips face the target. Basket faces
the target.
