CUES. Student hears and sees how a job task is to be
performed working as a stocker in a grocery store.

Student needs to have
the job task broken down into incremental steps and
needs a job coach to continue to prompt student at each
step of the work task.

Student can perform
a work task of 2-4 steps after hearing and seeing how
the task is performed with 1-2 prompts from the job
coach.

Student can perform
a work task of 2-4 steps after hearing and seeing how
the task is performed with NO prompts from the job coach
|
Student can perform
a work task of 2-4 steps independently and maintain
that skill to the next day student is scheduled to work.

PARAPHRASES. The
student will be asked to paraphrase the directions given
by the job coach which explain the work task.

Student has difficulty
repeating back the verbal instructions and cannot paraphrase
the task direction.

Student attempts to
paraphrase but misunderstands the order and purpose
of the work directions.

Student paraphrases
the work directions but does not consistently repeat
task directions in order, but understands the purpose
of the work directions.

Student can repeat
order of the work tasks and understands purpose of the
tasks from one work day to the next.

can ask questions when unsure of what to do.

Student will stop any
work activity and wait until given instruction by job
coach.
